From Walking to Running a 10k
I was once overweight and in desperately need of something to get me off my butt and into shape. Then, a friend suggested that we train for a 10k race. I thought she was crazy since I could barely run for more than 1 minute at a time. Fast forward several months - after following an amazing 10k training program both of us successfully finished that seemingly impossible 10k race. Sure we didn’t shatter any world records but the sense of accomplishment of completing the race was more exhilarating than you could possibly imagine. The other benefit to having trained for several months is that I also lost 35 pounds. I’m now a runner!
