English to Italian translation a funny business
I have a funny story about English to Italian translation. Sometimes even if you think you have translated something correctly, small nuances the only native speakers understand can be a source of much humor and embarrassment. I had an important meeting with the Italians, where I had to present our vision of the future and how see this business relationship developing. I used a software for my translation and thought it came out perfect, having studies some Italian in school. Little did I know, I told the Italians at the meeting that I see our two firms falling in love and having babies, how embarrassing.
