The Importance of Family History

Our church teaches that we need to research our family history. Not only does it give us the opportunity to do saving ordinances on their behalf that Jesus Christ would have us do, it gives them their identity back to learn about them. It wasn’t important to me as a kid, but I have grown to love my ancestors and am touched by their experiences, their strength, and their determination to live the Gospel of jesus christ no matter what was happening to them. My ancestors were persecuted and had to leave their home in Denmark. I long to meet them someday.
