The German Company, Krups, is a major manufacturer of small electrical appliances for the kitchen. One of their products, the krups can opener, is available in two completely different models, or styles. 1. The Krups model 404 (sometimes referred to as the #404-70), has an awesome bladless feature, patented design. A hand held design that is comfortable to use, and an optional wall bracket for convenient mounting and storage in the kitchen. 2. They also make the GVE model (also called #GVE-1) Open Control, Multi-functional model, which is a stand up (as opposed to hand-held) opener that can open a can up to 7” in height and has a magnetic component to hold the can to the opener.Both styles are in popular use in modern day kitchens and the style chosen is a matter of personal preference. The Krups brand electric openers have been in widespread use since the 1980’s.
