I’m Proud Of What I Did

My dad was vacuuming the living room not really hearing what I was saying as normal. I couldn’t care less, I just wanted to tell anyone what great work I did in taking his advice in doing a dish network review. I followed him all around the house up the stairs and down the stairs until he stopped and grabbed the duster. I became irritated and walked into the kitchen and began talking up a hurricane again. She just looked at me with wide eyes as I talked a mile a minute, non stop. When I did take a break I was swallowing and breathing.

The Hardest Part of Learning Guitar on your Own

As a graduate of self study on the guitar I believe I can point out a couple of the cons when you learn to play guitar on your own. First off, one thing everyone must do if they’re learning at home is find a jam buddy or two. Without someone to get together with to play guitar and jam with you can get bored. That is exactly what one of the cons is, you can get bored or fall behind when learning at home. It’s too easy to forget about your lesson or say you’ll practice another day. Sticking to a regimen is the hardest part. The second hardest part is getting feedback when you need it. While videos provide great demonstrations it’s not always easy to know for sure if you’re doing things the right way.

Having said that, this doesn’t imply that you have handle over exactly how your community is going to perceive your messages. A lot cheaper then Private Lessons

I’ve had a drum kit in my basement collecting dust for about 10 years now. I always said I was going to learn but I was yet to even investigate taking private lessons or getting a drum lesson dvd to learn from.

Finally once day when cleaning out around the drum kit for about the 10th time I decided I should either get rid of these or start using them, since they were taking up too much space. I decided since I wasn’t fully committed I should look for a dvd course or online lessons rather then signing up for a few weeks of private drum lessons.

I found a slew of courses, videos and programs on the web that I could order to teach me to play the drums. I was excited actually when I finally chose a course to order and eagerly awaited it’s arrival. The price was about 10 times less then private lessons so I figured even if I wasn’t sure if I’d stick with it or not the price was right.

I love mixtapes

I got into mixtapes from my older brother Joe. He always had new East Coast mixtapes. He likes alot of Wu-Tang, Nas, Mobb Deep, DMX, the classics. We grew up in the Bronx, so we have always been pretty heavy on that East Coast sound. I used to buy the bootlegs from the bodega in the neighborhood, but now I get them all online. The quality is perfect and the cds are knocking. I even sent my brother to the website where I buy all mine.

There’s No Place Like Home

Once the tour was over in November, the band went their separate ways for a few months.  We all needed to recuperate from the strenuous tour schedule.  We promised we would all work on some new material for the next album, which was set to record in April.  Five months off was pure bliss, and it was nice to be home again with my family.  After a few weeks I was bored.  I decided to give electric guitar lessons for free to neighborhood kids that wanted to learn.  I ended up having 25 kids sign up, which kept me busy for the rest of the winter.
