Working For a Professional Photographer

I work for a professional photographer. While I help some with actually taking pictures, my main responsibilities are developing pictures, as well as, taking care of all photo to canvas orders. Canvas prints have become quite popular over the past several years. People give them as gifts for a variety of occasions, including weddings, anniversaries, etc.. I have done a couple as gifts myself. My favorite is one that I had done of my parents for their anniversary last year.

Going to Performing Arts Colleges Does Not Ensure You An Agent

So, you have just graduated from one of the many great Performing Arts Colleges here in the United States or overseas. It is time to start working. Having an agent can help this process, no doubt about it. There are many agents who will advertise to get actors. Some will look at workshops or malls and promise a bright future to the actor. PLEASE,  beware of these agents. Real agents never find actors they want to represent this way. If you have a friend that will introduce you to an agent, that’s great. The best way by far is for them to find you. Do student films and show them to agents. Do theater productions and invite agents. They go to these things are are always keeping an eye out. It is hard, but that is the right way to do it.

Pets don’t live long enough

I have a beautiful collection of pet portraits that I’ve collected over the years of all the various pets we have owned. I call it the memory wall and it makes me chuckle whenever I walk by, it’s like they are still with me in the most non-creepy way possible. I love art and I love my pets so what can I say. It dosen’t seem fair that your animals become such an important part of the family and yet their lifespan is so short. What is fourteen years? Not nearly enough. I think maybe I should get a parrot and then maybe he’ll outlive me!

Developments in Movie Downloads

There’s been lots of cool developments with movie downloads technology over the years. Probably the biggest one that has surprised me so far is just how small they been able to get the file sizes to be. I can remember five or six years ago when movie files were routinely 2 GB or even to a half gigabytes. And that was back before the high-speed broadband were really well developed. They did have broadband high speed Internet but it was fairly expensive and it also wasn’t nearly as fast or available as it is today. That that was created a huge problem because the 2 GB file would take a whole 24 hours or longer to download. The technology has solved these problems though now.
