Church music not always considered “religeous”
When you think of church music today, you most likely think of a big pipe organ. But the organ wasn’t always a part of worship, and in fact many thought of the organ as the devil’s musical instrument before it was introduced to typical church services. It actually took several centuries for it to be accepted as an instrument of church music. In the past few decades guitars have slowly been introduced into worship services. At first they, too, were deemed not fit for worship, but now they are as common as ever and nobody thinks “devil rock and roll” when hymms are accompanied by guitar. Now “club” music and rhythms are finding their way into churches. How many years before it’s no longer seen as “radical”?
