A time to rejoice and come closer to your loved one

Diwali is one of the most celebrated events in Hinduism, Jainism, Sikhism and Buddhism. It holds great religious and social significance for the believers of these religions. During this five day period, people break out of their monotonous lives and engage in fun filled activities with one another. People exchange Diwali greetings and salutations, light lamps and burn crackers in each other’s homes. By doing so, they hope to extend a gesture of good will, and signify the spreading of knowledge and positivity throughout their homes and surroundings. Additionally, they get together to perform different religious and social activities which brings people closer to one another and their religious roots. Hence Diwali acts as a catalyst in bringing people together.
